Shawn Pyfrom is best known for his recurring role as Andrew Van de Kamp, the son of Bree Van de Kamp and the late Rex Van de Kamp on ABC’s Desperate Housewives. He played the role, as a recurring guest appearance, throughout the show’s first season from 2004 to 2005. After appearing in the entire second season as a supporting cast member, playing the role through some incredibly gripping scenes, and appearing in the third season and fourth season, he returned in the fifth season as a full-fledged series regular, starring alongside huge names in Hollywood such are, Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, and Doug Savant.
Shawn has remained incredibly active since 1999. Shawn appeared in the Walt Disney Pictures film The Shaggy Dog in 2006 opposite Tim Allen and Kristin Davis, and also in the film The Darkroom in 2007, opposite Erin Foster. In 2009, Pyfrom left Desperate Housewives as a series regular but continued to make frequent guest appearances, including the series finale. During this time, he appeared on television shows such as Nip/Tuck, 8 Simple Rules, CSI: Miami, and The Jake Effect.
Aside from acting, he travels between Paris and LA to pursue his many passions including art, fashion, and photography. In 2019 he featured in Crash magazine where he was able to have creative direction on the images shot and chosen. His art can be found online and on Instagram.
