Born on January 5, 1969, in Tallahassee, Florida, Shea Whigham moved to Lake Mary, Florida, at the age of five. He attended Lake Mary High School before pursuing higher education at Tyler Junior College and later the State University of New York at Purchase, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
