Shea Whigham is an American actor known for impactful supporting roles across film and television, building a reputation for consistent performances in critically acclaimed projects. After starring in the 2000 film Tigerland, Shea Whigham embarked on a prolific acting career, building a reputation for compelling performances across film and television. His early foundation in theatre, co-founding a theatre troupe in New York City where he served as both an actor and artistic director, paved the way for his distinctive presence on screen. Whigham gained widespread recognition for his role as Elias “Eli” Thompson in HBO’s critically acclaimed series Boardwalk Empire, appearing from 2010 to 2014.

His performance in Gaslit (2022) garnered him a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Movie/Miniseries, further solidifying his critical acclaim.
