The voluptuous and sultry Shelly Martinez is a Mexican-American actress, model and retired professional wrestler and valet. She is known for her work with WWE under the ring name Ariel, and for TNA under the ring name Salinas. She broadcasts live streams and podcasts under Martinez Girls Productions. She is also an advocate of medical cannabis and is an animal rights activist.

Born and raised in Chino, California, Martinez started working as a model and an actress to help pursue her dream of becoming a professional wrestler. During this time she was introduced to a wrestling promoter and trainer, and went on to train at his school for two and a half years. She made her professional debut in December 200o under the ring name Desire. She went on to win the EWF (Empire Wrestling Federation) Tag Team Championship with Threat in a tag team battle royal at the EWF’s July 19, 2002 event, making her the first and only woman to hold the title. In 2005 she signed a developmental contract with WWE, training and wrestling in their primary developmental territory OVW, and using the ring name Shelly. In mid-2006, Martinez joined the ECW brand as Ariel. From 2007-2008 she was part of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, and then after making an Italian thriller movie, Martinez wrestled under her own name. She continued performing until 2017, when she announced her retirement from the ring. Away from wrestling, Martinez is often out of her clothes. She starred in a pin-up movie, American Pinups Vol. 2, and collaborated on an all-female spanking and soft-core bondage video, The Notorious Jewel De’Nyle & Shelly Martinez. In 2009 she posed nude for THE 1 Contest, and in 2012 she appeared on the fourth season of the Bad Girls Club spin-off, Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too. She has appeared in many other productions, shows, and music videos, and was also a contestant on Fox’s reality TV show, The Search for the Next Elvira.
