Shinji Kagawa

Shinji Kagawa became the top scorer in J.League Division 2 in 2009, a pivotal achievement following his professional contract signing with Cerezo Osaka in 2006, where he uniquely became the first player in Japan to secure a professional deal before high school graduation, excluding youth team promotions. His exceptional performance for Cerezo Osaka quickly garnered international attention, leading to his transfer to German powerhouse Borussia Dortmund in 2010 for €350,000. During his initial two-year tenure, Kagawa was instrumental in securing back-to-back Bundesliga championship victories for Dortmund in the 2010–11 and 2011–12 seasons, complemented by a DFB-Pokal win in 2011–12.
