Aaron Smith is a rapper from the United States. Growing up on the beaches of Southern California, he became known to the world simply as Shwayze after his breakthrough in 2008, when he released his self-titled debut album, co-written with Cisco Adler. “Buzzin” was his first single and it reached No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Corona and Lime,” his second single, peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on the iTunes Store in the United States.
Wearing thin jeans and singing about lost weekends in Hollywood, Shwayze and Adler subsequently hit the road on the Vans Warped Tour, bringing legendary parties with them wherever they went. Shwayze has since collaborated with a number of producers and released many self-financed albums, including Shwayze Summer, on his Feel Good Entertainment Music label. 2019 saw the release of Shwayze’s fifth studio album, Beach Boy. He keeps evolving his sound while being committed to the inspirations that helped him get to where he is now.
A top 10 album, Billboard chart-topping singles such as “Buzzin” and “Corona & Lime,” a rock-doc reality show on MTV, and a number of roles in feature films and major network television have all been part of his impressive resume over the last decade—and all while touring the world. Shwayze continues to perform around 200 gigs per year, and each year he discovers new regions and fanbases with whom to connect. He keeps up with his fans on Instagram, where he boasts over 50,000 followers.
