Sidney Rivera has transitioned from a professional soccer career to a client director role, leveraging skills developed on the field into the business world. After leading Old Dominion University with nine goals and being named Conference USA Tournament Offensive MVP in 2014, Sidney Rivera went on to drive Old Dominion to its first-ever Conference-USA tournament championship. During his collegiate tenure from 2011 to 2014, Rivera made 48 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist for the Monarchs. Prior to his collegiate career, he developed his skills playing for the Match Fit Academy from 2009 to 2011.
Later in July 2015, he also played for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, making one appearance. In 2016, Rivera signed with NASL expansion side Puerto Rico FC, contributing with 3 goals across 16 matches in his first season and appearing in 20 matches during his second season. Following his time with Puerto Rico FC, Rivera continued his club career, playing for Atlantic City FC in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) and having a stint with Reno 1868 FC. Expanding his international experience, Rivera played for Than Quang Ninh in Vietnam and Bangladesh Police FC in Bangladesh.
Parallel to his ongoing athletic pursuits, he joined AHEAD Sales University as a Client Director in New York City, a role that showcases his ability to leverage high-performance skills developed through professional sports, such as leadership, strategic thinking, and resilience, into effective client management and business development within a competitive industry.
