Sinqua Walls

Sinqua Walls was born on April 6, 1985, in Louisiana, and later relocated to Los Angeles with his family, attending Beverly Hills High School. He pursued his passion for the arts at the University of San Francisco, where he studied Theater and Film, graduating in 2007. During his college years, Walls also played on the San Francisco Dons men’s basketball team. His early interest in acting was sparked as a child after watching the film ‘Radio Flyer’. Beyond his acting career, Walls is a published poet and enjoys playing guitar and various sports. He also actively supports causes related to homelessness and fighting hunger in America, demonstrating a commitment to wider community involvement.

Walls’ breakthrough in acting came with his portrayal of Jamarcus Halls in the critically acclaimed series ‘Friday Night Lights’. He gained further recognition for his role as Daniel in ‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager’. His career expanded with guest appearances on notable television series such as ‘Californication’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘Chuck’, ‘CSI’, and ‘Blue Mountain State’. In 2011, he secured his first studio feature film lead role in the Relativity Media suspense film ‘Shark Night 3-D’. A significant turning point in his career was landing the role of Sir Lancelot on ABC’s ‘Once Upon a Time’, a performance notable for being one of the few instances of the iconic character portrayed by a Black American on television and film.

Throughout his career, Walls has taken on diverse roles that highlight his versatility. He played Boyd, a beta werewolf, in MTV’s ‘Teen Wolf’ from 2012 to 2013, appearing in 15 episodes. He also starred as Shawn in the TV series ‘Power’ from 2014 to 2015, featuring in 18 episodes. In film, Walls has taken on roles such as Malik in ‘Shark Night’ (2011), a Marine in Clint Eastwood’s ‘The 15:17 to Paris’ (2018), and Matt Walker in ‘Otherhood’ (2019). More recently, he starred as Don Cornelius in ‘American Soul’ from 2019 to 2020, and in the 2023 remake of ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ as Kamal Allen, further cementing his presence in the industry.
