Stephanie Beatriz is an accomplished actress and director known for her diverse roles across film, television, and voice acting. After being cast as Detective Rosa Diaz in the acclaimed Fox/NBC comedy series ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ in 2013, Stephanie Beatriz garnered widespread recognition for her nuanced portrayal over eight seasons, concluding in 2021. During her run on the hit series, she made her directing debut with the season six episode ‘He Said, She Said’ in 2019. Prior to her breakthrough television role, Beatriz honed her craft in theatre, performing for three seasons at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, including roles such as Catherine in ‘A View From a Bridge’ (2008) and Maggie in ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ (2010).

She lent her voice to General Sweet Mayhem in ‘The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part’ (2019), showcasing her range in major animated features. In 2021, Beatriz captivated audiences as Carla in the musical film ‘In the Heights’ and achieved significant chart success as the voice of Mirabel Madrigal in Disney’s animated film ‘Encanto,’ a collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda.
