Stephanie Horner, a Canadian Olympian, successfully transitioned from competitive pool swimming to open water disciplines, representing Canada in three Olympic Games and earning multiple national and international medals. After earning four medals at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Stephanie Horner went on to represent Canada in three Olympic Games, demonstrating exceptional versatility across competitive swimming disciplines. At the 2007 Games, she secured a silver medal in the 200m freestyle, a bronze in the 200m IM, and two additional silver medals in the 4x200m freestyle and 4x100m medley relays. Horners dedication and achievements in open water swimming received national recognition in 2018 when she was named Swimming Canadas Female Open Water Swimmer of the Year, following her impressive 8th place finish in the 10km race at the Pan Pacific Championships in Tokyo the same year. Throughout her career, Horner consistently performed at the highest international levels, participating in multiple FINA World Championships, including placing 17th in the 400m IM at the 2011 championships and successfully qualifying for the 2017 World Aquatics Championships.
