Stephen Maguire

Stephen Maguire, a formidable presence in professional snooker, notably clinched the prestigious UK Championship in 2004, a Triple Crown event, by defeating David Gray 10–1. This followed his first world ranking event victory earlier that year at the European Open, where he bested Jimmy White in the final. Maguire turned professional in 1998 after winning the IBSF World Snooker Championship and quickly established himself, reaching a career-high world ranking of number two from 2008 to 2010. His early career also saw him notably defeat Stephen Lee in the first round of the 2002 UK Championship.

Maguire further demonstrated his prowess by winning the 2014 Six-red World Championship and the 2014 Lisbon Open. Maguire continued his strong performance, securing his second 6-Red World Championship title in 2019. That same year, he partnered with John Higgins to win the World Cup, showcasing his versatility in team competition.
