Stephen Thompson

Stephen Thompson has established himself as a prominent figure in mixed martial arts, known for his unique striking style and respectful demeanor. After a decorated kickboxing career, he transitioned to the UFC, where he has pursued welterweight championships and engaged in notable contests. After an undefeated amateur kickboxing career that included 37 wins, 18 by knockout, Stephen Thompson secured 16 titles, including the IKF National Amateur Tournament Middleweight Champion in 2000 and the W.A.K.O World Championships Cruiserweight Champion in 2005. He then maintained an unblemished record of 20 victories in professional kickboxing before making his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut in February 2012.

His entertainment career expanded in 2022 with an acting debut in the Netflix series ‘Cobra Kai’, and a memorable TKO victory against Kevin Holland at UFC on ESPN 42 in December, earning both fighters a ‘Fight of the Night’ award. Known for his exceptional sportsmanship and polite demeanor, Thompson remains an active competitor in the UFC’s Welterweight division. He continues to engage in high-stakes matchups, including bouts in 2023 against Shavkat Rakhmonov and in 2024 against Joaquin Buckley.
