Susan Holloway was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. Her musical journey began at an early age after attending an Itzhak Perlman concert, inspiring her to pursue the violin. She received classical training in the Suzuki method and, as a young artist, toured significant venues including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, performing classical music. Growing up amidst Memphis’ rich musical landscape, Holloway absorbed various genres such as jazz, rock, soul, blues, and gospel, which influenced her evolving musical style.

Throughout her career, Holloway has focused on incorporating emotional depth into her performances, using her violin to interpret songs with profound lyrics, including works by Queen, Al Green, and Leonard Cohen. She has cultivated a substantial online presence, accumulating over 3 million YouTube views, 106,000 Facebook followers, and 55,000 Instagram followers. Her discography includes six solo albums, with her latest release, “Dream On,” featuring classic rock songs. In addition to her performance career, Holloway has been actively involved in music education, teaching violin for ten years, utilizing both the Suzuki method and individualized approaches to accommodate students of all ages and skill levels.
