Suze Lanier-Bramlett achieved widespread recognition for her starring role in the 1977 horror film The Hills Have Eyes, a cult classic that cemented her presence in the industry. Prior to this, she established a significant acting career in television, notably portraying the flirtatious student Bambi in Welcome Back, Kotter from 1975 to 1976. Her extensive television work also included appearances on popular series such as Barnaby Jones, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, Alice, Police Woman, and Eight is Enough. In 1976, Lanier was the producers’ initial choice for the role of Chrissy Snow, cast in the second pilot for Three’s Company, demonstrating her strong industry standing.
She also held a regular role as Sandi Chandler on the television series Szysznyk from 1977 to 1978. Expanding her artistic range, Lanier-Bramlett made her mark in professional theater, performing at The Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles in a production of Tennessee Williams’ acclaimed play Night of the Iguana, starring alongside Richard Chamberlain in the late 1970s. Beyond the screen and stage, she developed a successful career as a portrait photographer, with her work featured on magazines, book covers, and album covers. Her exceptional photographic talent was formally recognized in 2005 when she was voted one of Los Angeles’ top ten photographers by Backstage West.
Maintaining her active presence in the industry, Lanier-Bramlett has increasingly focused on significant behind-the-camera roles in recent years. In 2023, she served as an Associate Producer for the feature film The Black Mass. The same year, she further showcased her producing prowess as Co-executive Producer for Red Rooms, underscoring her ongoing commitment and multifaceted capabilities as a talent in contemporary film and television production.
