Sydney Scotia has established herself as a versatile talent in the entertainment industry, transitioning from a successful acting career to directing, producing, and music. Her work demonstrates a breadth of skill across various media, including television, film, and digital music distribution. Notably, she has received multiple awards for her performances and directorial work, showcasing her capabilities both in front of and behind the camera. After gaining significant recognition for her series lead role as Geneva in the YTV/Netflix comedy series ‘Some Assembly Required’ (2014–2016), Sydney Scotia established herself as a versatile talent in the entertainment industry.

Beyond her work as an actress, Scotia quickly developed a career as a director and producer. Her feature-length documentary, ‘This Hits Home’ (2020), received the audience choice award at the Boston Film Festival. She continued to demonstrate her directorial prowess with the short films ‘Dead End’ (2022) and ‘Jane’ (2022), both released after attending various festivals. Her achievements as a director were recognized with a Best Female Director award at the Vancouver Independent Film Festival.
