Kuwait Talal Alrashidi is a competitive trap shooter who has represented Kuwait in multiple international competitions, including the Olympic Games.
Zain celebrated Team Kuwait's triumphant return from China, acknowledging Khalid Al Mudhaf, Abdulrahman Al Faihan, and Talal Al Rashidi for attaining the silver medal in shooting (trap team men). Talal Alrashidi, born on July 24, 1993, in Kuwait City, Kuwait, began practicing shooting in 2001 and started competitive shooting in 2007. As a student and member of the Kuwait Shooting Club, Alrashidi quickly established himself in the sport. His early career saw him participating in various junior events, demonstrating consistent performance in Trap Men and Trap Mixed Team categories. His dedication led to a notable achievement in 2011 when he secured a gold medal at the World Championships in Belgrade for Trap Men Junior, marking a significant milestone in his emerging career. His consistent performance and progression in the sport led to his first Olympic appearance in London in 2012 at the age of 19.
Alrashidi’s career saw steady progression and increasing international participation. He competed in multiple World Cup events, ISSF Grand Prix, and Asian Championships, accumulating several medals across these competitions. His achievements include multiple gold medals at the Asian Championships in Trap Men and Trap Mixed Team events, such as in Doha (2019) and Almaty (2022). He further solidified his standing in the sport with two World Cup gold medals in Trap Team Men in 2022 in Baku and Nicosia, and a Trap Men gold in Lonato in 2021. Alrashidi competed in the Olympic Games for Kuwait, participating in the 2012 London Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he placed 7th in Trap Men, demonstrating significant improvement and competitive skill on the global stage.
Throughout his career, Talal Alrashidi has consistently represented Kuwait at the highest levels of competitive shooting. His medal count includes one gold at the World Championships, one at the Presidents Cup, three at World Cup events, four at ISSF Grand Prix, and eight at Asian Championships. His participation in diverse settings, from junior championships to major Olympic events, highlights his extensive experience and persistent commitment to the sport. He has competed alongside his father, Abdullah Al-Rashidi, who is also an Olympian, further connecting his career to a family legacy in shooting.
