Tamara Day

Tamara Day is a charismatic and knowledgeable home restoration expert who hosts the popular HGTV show Bargain Mansions in which she helps to restore neglected large homes such that new families can “move in and love them again”. She also recently appeared on an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in which she helped design a room for a thankful family. Such is the success of her program that Bargain Mansions was confirmed for a third season in the spring of 2020.

Day grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, starting her journey in DIY from a very young age when she assisted her father, Ward, on an array of projects. She eventually developed a passion for restoring furniture, and – with the help of her husband – moved into buying old homes and renovating them into beautiful apartments.

Having steadily built up a large and loyal fanbase which she engages with on her social media accounts, Day is now a successful reality television star who revels in displaying her expertise to the nation and doing her bit to salvage old, sizeable homes. She’s also the proud owner of Growing Days Home, an interior design and retail store featuring home decor, art, furniture amongst many other things customers can use to spruce up their homes.

Day’s passion and working life are very much aligned, and she will continue to grow her business while further establishing herself as one of the nation’s leading DIY experts on television.
