Tanja Gellenthien

Tanja Gellenthien, born Tanja Jensen on July 21, 1995, is a Danish archer specializing in women’s compound events. Her career began to gain international recognition with strong performances in various competitions. She has consistently ranked among the top archers globally, with a career-best ranking of 1 on September 6, 2021. Gellenthien has been noted for her consistent scoring, maintaining a high average arrow score throughout her career.

Throughout her career, Gellenthien has secured significant achievements. She earned a gold medal in the women’s individual compound event at the 2021 European Archery Championships held in Antalya, Turkey. In 2022, she continued her success by winning a gold medal with Stephan Hansen in the mixed team compound event at the European Archery Championships in Munich, Germany. That same year, she represented Denmark at the World Games in Birmingham, USA. In 2023, Gellenthien claimed the women’s championship title in the compound division of The Vegas Shoot, an event where she had previously finished second in 2022. Her accomplishments also include a silver medal in the mixed team compound event at the 2023 European Games in Poland with Mathias Fullerton.

Her equipment sponsorships reflect her standing in the archery world, including Hoyt, Easton, TruBall/Axcel, AAE, and GAS Bowstrings. In addition to competing, Gellenthien has also taken on a role in the industry, joining GAS Bowstrings’ sales team to work with international pro shops and dealers. She is married to American archer Braden Gellenthien, further connecting her to the professional archery community.
