Tanya Chisholm

Tanya Chisholm, born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has established a career in acting across both comedic and dramatic productions. Her early career included a recurring role as Nancy Cooper on The CW’s “Veronica Mars” and guest appearances on CBS’s “Ghost Whisperer” and “Cold Case,” as well as Disney Channel’s “Cory in the House.” Chisholm also garnered significant recognition for her performance as Jackie, the main Sharpette, in the Disney Channel original movie “High School Musical 2.” This exposure led to further roles in television films, such as Marcie in MGM’s “Legally Blondes,” which aired on Disney Channel and ABC Family, showcasing her versatility in youth-oriented content.

Chisholm graduated from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. During her studies, she received the Regent’s Scholarship for Academic Achievement and the John and Faith Surabian Award for Musical Theater. Her academic background in theater arts has provided a foundation for her professional work in Hollywood. She is perhaps most widely recognized for her role as Kelly Wainwright in Nickelodeon’s “Big Time Rush,” a series that aired from 2009 to 2013. During her time on “Big Time Rush,” she transitioned from a recurring character in the first season to a main cast member for seasons 2 through 4, demonstrating her consistent presence and contribution to the show’s success. She reprised her role as Kelly Wainwright in “Big Time Movie” in 2012.

More recently, Tanya Chisholm has taken on dramatic roles, including ‘Alice’ in Kevin Willmott and Trai Byers’ film “The 24th” (2020), which provided an opportunity to demonstrate her range beyond comedy. Her recent television appearances include “All the Queen’s Men” (2022) and “Sistas” (2022). In addition to her acting career, Chisholm is involved in coaching young performers and managing her business as an influencer, indicating a diversified professional engagement within the entertainment industry.
