She initially started a blog and an Instagram account in 2017, followed by a YouTube channel. Recognizing her aptitude for visual storytelling, she prioritized YouTube as her primary platform. Her content strategy involves creating episodic travel web series, which she scripts and edits herself. This approach, focusing on personalization and professional presentation, has contributed to her channel’s growth to over 500,000 subscribers with more than 100 videos. She emphasizes detailed observations and subtle narrative touches to create a unique and nostalgic viewing experience for her audience.

Khanijow maintains full control over her content production, encompassing planning, budgeting, filming, editing, sound design, and marketing. Her independent work model, without a traditional crew or large production team, highlights her dedication to her craft. She monetizes her work through YouTube ad revenue, brand sponsorships for specific trips or destinations, and affiliate commissions from product placements. In addition to her main channel, she launched a new channel, ‘Living with Tanya,’ to further explore her video creation skills. These diverse revenue streams and her commitment to continuous skill development have enabled her to build a career as a travel filmmaker and content creator.
