Tatiana Ivanova

Tatiana Ivanova was born on February 16, 1991, in Chusovoy, Perm Oblast, RSFSR, USSR (now Perm Krai, Russia). She began her luge career in 2000. Her competitive journey started with her debut in the Luge World Cup series in the 2008–2009 season, where she finished 17th. This marked her entry into international competition, setting the foundation for her professional career in the sport.

Ivanova quickly established herself as a notable competitor in luge. In 2010, she won the women’s singles event at the FIL European Luge Championships held in Sigulda, Latvia. She continued this success by winning the European Championships again in 2012, this time in Paramonovo, Russia. The same year, she earned two silver medals at the FIL World Luge Championships in Altenberg, Germany, one in singles and another in the team relay. Her achievements extended to the Olympic stage, where she won a silver medal in the mixed relay at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, representing Russia. Throughout her career, she has accumulated numerous accolades, including multiple World Cup podium finishes and further gold medals at the European Championships in 2018, 2020, and 2021.

Her career has been characterized by consistent high-level performance and a steady accumulation of medals across various prominent competitions. She has achieved gold medals in World Championships (2019, team relay) and numerous European Championships (singles in 2010, 2012, 2018, 2020, 2021; team relay in 2012, 2018, 2021). She has also secured silver medals at the World Championships in singles (2012, 2015) and team relay (2012, 2015). In 2022, she earned an Olympic bronze medal in singles at the Beijing Winter Olympics, representing ROC (Russian Olympic Committee). These results collectively showcase her enduring presence and success in the sport of luge over more than a decade.
