Loewe has signed on Thai actor Tawan Vihokratana, nickname Tay, as its newest brand ambassador. The Thai actor is officially assuming his ambassadorship role after several years collaborating closely with the luxury brand. Tay's promotion to Loewe ambassador was a peak in his relationship with the brand. He was first named as Friend of the House last April 30. This highlights the brand's growing focus on Southeast Asia and his alignment with its values.
Tawan Vihokratana, born July 20, 1991, in Bangkok, Thailand, and raised in Chiang Mai, embarked on his diverse career in entertainment after initially pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Chulalongkorn University. He later switched to and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the same institution. His early involvement in university life saw him selected as a mace-bearer for the 68th Chula-Thammasat Traditional Football Match in 2012. Tawan’s professional journey began in 2014 as a host for Bang Channel’s “Five Live Fresh.” The same year, he made his acting debut in “Room Alone” and received broader recognition when he was named one of CLEO Thailand’s 50 Most Eligible Bachelors of 2014.
Over the years, Tawan established himself in the acting landscape with significant roles. In 2016, he appeared in “Kiss: The Series” as Pete, a role he reprised and expanded upon in “Kiss Me Again” (2018) and “Dark Blue Kiss” (2019), which brought him considerable popularity. His career progression further included a main role as Alan in “Secret Seven: The Series” in 2017. He has also engaged in hosting various programs, including the food web series “TayNew Meal Date” and his lifestyle talk show “Krahai Lao.” In 2023, he took on the main role of Karan in the Thai adaptation of the Japanese manga “Cherry Magic,” highlighting his continuous engagement in diverse and trending projects.
Beyond his acting and hosting work, Tawan co-owns the spa Bamboo Secrets. He has also been involved in public discourse, expressing views on political events in Thailand. His growing influence in entertainment and fashion is underscored by his recent appointment as a brand ambassador for the luxury fashion house Loewe, a partnership that evolved from earlier collaborations as a “Friend of the House.” This role signifies his expanding global appeal and his engagement with high-profile brands.
