Young, emotive actress, writer, and singer-songwriter Taylor Castro is a hugely talented star with a bright future. She has released two albums to date, and starred in a number of feature films. The Los Angeles Film Awards named her Best Young Actress for her performance in 2017’s Dream Killer.
Castro grew up in Florida, and was always interested in music and performing from a young age. She took part in school musicals, attended theatre camp, took vocal lessons, and learned how to play the guitar. She began to write her own music aged twelve and posted videos of her songs on YouTube, quickly building up a huge following. She made her feature film debut in 2013’s Assumed Killer, and has since gone on to feature in a series of killer-themed movies produced by Concord Films, including 2017’s Girlfriend Killer, and 2019’s Marriage Killer. In between those two movies, in 2018, she released her debut album, Pure. Her second album, Girl, Afraid, released in 2021, features ten tracks all written by Taylor.
Castro regularly connects with her legions of dedicated followers and fans through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, posting pictures and videos of her life around music. She has her own YouTube channel, Taylor Castro, as well as an official website, taylorcastro.com.
