Terrell Lewis

Terrell Lewis, born on August 25, 1998, in Washington, D.C., began his football journey at St. John’s College High School. During his senior year, he recorded 42 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, and nine sacks, earning him the title of Football Player of the Year for Washington, D.C., by USA Today and Gatorade. He was also selected to play in the 2016 Under Armour All-America Game. Initially committing to Ohio State, Lewis later chose to play college football at the University of Alabama, a decision that would shape his collegiate career significantly.

At Alabama, Lewis showcased his potential despite facing challenges with injuries. As a freshman, he played in 11 games, contributing 11 tackles and one sack. His sophomore season was impacted by a torn ligament, limiting his play to the final games, including his first career start in the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship. He then missed his junior season due to a torn ACL. Returning for his redshirt junior year, Lewis excelled as a starting outside linebacker, collecting 31 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and 6.0 sacks, earning Second-team All-Southeastern Conference honors. He concluded his collegiate career with 58 tackles, 8 sacks, and 3 passes defended in 26 games, opting to enter the NFL Draft.

Lewis was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. His professional career saw him contribute to the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI victory. After his tenure with the Rams, he moved to the Chicago Bears and later had stints with the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles, continuing to demonstrate his defensive capabilities. Throughout his career, Lewis has been noted for his ability to pressure quarterbacks and make critical tackles, consistently bringing a strong presence to the defensive line.
