Terrence J, born Terrence Jenkins on April 21, 1982, in Queens, New York, is a multifaceted American entertainer renowned for his work as an actor, television host, model, and entertainment reporter. Raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, he attended Northern Nash High and later graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a degree in mass communication. During college, he was active as Student Government Association President and a DJ for WNAA and 102 Jamz.
Jenkins gained national prominence as the charismatic host of BET’s music video countdown show “106 & Park” from 2006 to 2012, a role he shared with Rocsi. His career trajectory continued to soar as he co-anchored E! News from 2012 to 2015, succeeding Ryan Seacrest.
