Lucas and Marcus Dobre-Mofid were born on January 28, 1999, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, to Aurelia Dobre, a retired Olympic gymnast, and Boz Mofid. They are part of four brothers, including older brothers Cyrus Dobre (born 1993) and Darius Dobre (born 1995). The twins initially gained recognition under the name “TwinBotz” on the now-defunct video application Vine. On Vine, they cultivated a following of over 1.8 million, showcasing their talent in breakdancing and various gymnastics stunts, including backflips. This early exposure laid the groundwork for their transition to other digital platforms.

Their career progressed significantly with the establishment of their eponymous YouTube channel, “Lucas and Marcus,” which currently boasts 37 million subscribers and 5 billion views. Concurrently, they are also part of the “Dobre Brothers” YouTube channel, alongside their older brothers, which has 28 million subscribers and 3 billion views, and the “Dobre Cars” channel with 1 million subscribers. These channels feature a variety of content, encompassing dance, stunts, and lifestyle videos. In March 2018, the Dobre Brothers secured a joint venture deal with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), signaling a notable achievement in their career. The twins have received industry recognition, including nominations for “Muser of the Year” at the Shorty Awards in 2018 for Lucas and Marcus, and “Breakout Creator” at the Streamy Awards in 2018 for the Dobre Brothers.
