The Great Khali

The Great Khali launched his professional wrestling career in October 2000, competing as Giant Singh with All Pro Wrestling (APW) in the United States. His imposing stature quickly made an impact, leading to engagements with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). In 2001, he made his debut at the iconic Tokyo Dome as part of the tag team Club 7 alongside Giant Silva, further establishing his presence on the international circuit. He continued to wrestle across global promotions, including Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in Mexico and All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), cultivating a formidable reputation leading up to 2006.

He was featured in the 2005 film The Longest Yard and the 2008 blockbuster Get Smart. In 2011, he expanded his public presence further, captivating audiences as the runner-up on Bigg Boss 4, a prominent Indian reality television series. Demonstrating his long-term commitment to the sport, he founded Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) in Jalandhar, Punjab, in 2015. CWE operates as both a professional wrestling promotion and a dedicated training academy, nurturing the next generation of aspiring wrestlers and contributing to the global growth of the sport.

The Great Khali’s immense contributions and enduring legacy within professional wrestling were officially recognized in 2021 with his induction into the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame. This honor cemented his place as a pioneer and a global icon, celebrated for his unique impact on the industry and his groundbreaking achievements as an Indian-American professional wrestler.
