Ashley Hess

Ashley Hess, a California native who later established her career in New York, gained significant public attention during her appearance on American Idol. During Season 17 of American Idol in 2019, Hess progressed through various stages of the competition. She performed “Gone Away” during the Showcase round, advancing to the Top 20. In the Top 20, she performed “Dreaming with a Broken Heart.” She later advanced to the Top 14 after performing “I’m Yours” in a duet with Jason Mraz. During the Top 14 week, she performed “Fix You,” and then “Sir Duke” in the follow-up, which marked her elimination.

Following her time on American Idol, Hess continued to pursue her music career with a focus on songwriting and worship leadership. She has shared stages with notable singers such as Andy Grammer, Jason Mraz, T-Pain, Us the Duo, and Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons. In January 2024, Hess signed with Tribl Records for a special project.
