Tim Kelly

Tim Kelly is a professional Australian rules footballer who has achieved recognition as an All-Australian and a John Worsfold Medallist, demonstrating consistent performance in the midfield for both Geelong and the West Coast Eagles. After being drafted by Geelong with the 24th overall pick in the 2017 national draft, Tim Kelly went on to debut in the AFL in Round 1 of the 2018 season against Melbourne. He quickly made an impact, earning recognition as the Best First Year Player, as voted by his peers at the AFL Players’ Association Awards in 2018. Prior to his AFL career, Kelly had already established a strong foundation in the WAFL, making his senior debut for the South Fremantle Football Club in 2013 and securing the runner-up position in the club’s best and fairest in 2014.

Throughout this period, Kelly has remained a pivotal figure in the Eagles’ lineup, consistently delivering top-tier performance despite the team facing challenging periods. Now in his fifth season with the Eagles, Kelly continues to be recognized as a key midfielder, consistently averaging 24 disposals over 20 games, even while facing targeted opposition.
