TM Garret is a German-American author, producer, filmmaker, and human rights activist who leverages his past experiences to advocate for community building and anti-racism. After transitioning his career in 2002, TM Garret quickly established himself as a dynamic entrepreneur, founding companies across diverse sectors including call-center, internet marketing, and licensed job recruitment. Relocating to the Memphis metro area, he collaborated with Colonel Robert Morris, where he founded PicArts Media, a film production and promotion company, and Mid South Music Entertainment, a record label. Graham Brown’s Grammy-nominated duet ‘He’ll Take Care of You’ in 2014, the same year he was awarded a resolution from the Alabama State Senate alongside Jimmy Miles. Garret’s industry contributions were further recognized with nominations for Manager of the Year and Videographer of the Year at the 2015 Nashville Universe Awards. In 2015, Garret sold his entertainment group to significantly focus on human rights activism. He began working with Exit Deutschland, a German anti-Nazi organization, and was appointed their US ambassador the same year.
He subsequently established and ran an American EXIT program under his non-profit, C.H.A.N.G.E. Inc., founded in 2016. C.H.A.N.G.E. actively engages in community outreach, food drives, seminars, and anti-racism campaigns, with a key initiative being the ‘Erase the Hate’ tattoo removal campaign.
