Tom-Brondo

Thomas O’Connell, known professionally as Brondo, was born in Castle Rock, an area located south of Denver, Colorado. Early in his career, he operated under the name T.O.C. (Totally Outta Control!). In 2014, he achieved recognition by being named Colorado Solo Artist of the Year, marking a significant early milestone in his musical journey. His subsequent rebranding as Brondo led to an increase in his public profile and expanded his reach within the electronic music scene.

Brondo is recognized for his contributions to Bass Music and electronic dance music, with a specific focus on bassline and dubstep genres. His live performances have gained prominence across the United States. He debuted his new persona with a sold-out show in Denver in 2019, which initiated the formation of his fanbase, referred to as the “Bass Troop.” Since then, he has performed at established music events and venues such as Red Rocks, Lost Lands, Ubbi Dubbi, Decadence, and Imagine Music Festival. These engagements highlight his consistent presence and impact within the festival circuit.

His strategic marketing efforts include the development of a ‘Bass Jungle’ theme, inspired by King Kong. This theme is integrated into his live shows, which feature jungle-like stage designs with foliage, rocks, and green lighting. A notable marketing initiative involved allowing entry to his inaugural show at The Summit Hall in Denver with a banana instead of a traditional ticket. This concept has been extended to his merchandise line. Brondo released his debut solo album, ‘Bass Jungle,’ which includes tracks such as ‘Boys,’ a song that became popular at his events. He continues to perform nationwide, maintaining his jungle-themed performances and releasing music.
