Tom Lynch began his professional Australian rules football career after being selected by the St Kilda Saints at pick No. 13 in the 2008 AFL draft. He played six AFL games for St Kilda before seeking a trade to Adelaide at the conclusion of the 2011 season for more senior playing opportunities. During his initial year with the Adelaide Crows in 2012, he participated in six AFL games as the team progressed to the preliminary final. The following season, 2013, marked a significant milestone as he became Adelaide’s leading goalkicker, achieving 33 goals from 17 games, including a notable ten goals in a single match against GWS.
