Prolific English actress Ruth Wilson has featured in some of film and televisions most captivating roles. Perhaps best known for playing Marisa Coulter in the BBC/HBO fantasy series, His Dark Materials, Wilson has had an eclectic career. A graduate of LAMDA, Wilson first caught notoriety in the situational comedy, Suburban Shootout opposite Tom Hiddleston. Fresh from the satirical stage, Wilson caught her big break in the Golden Globe-nominated adaptation of Bronte’s Jane Eyre. Since then, Wilson has found a balance between theatre and screen to become one of the most celebrated actresses of a generation.
A two-time Olivier Award winner, Wilson has dominated the theatre scene for years. Over the pond, Wilson made her triumphant Broadway debut in Constellations which earned her a Tony Award nomination. In the BBC drama, Mrs Wilson explores the aftermath of her former MI6 husband’s death and the events that followed.
