About

Thomas MacDonald, born on September 21, 1988, in British Columbia, Canada, embarked on his public career initially within professional wrestling. During his teenage years, he actively participated in the Canadian independent wrestling circuit, notably with Monster Pro Wrestling (MPW) in Edmonton. His wrestling debut occurred in February 2003 in a dark triple threat match. MacDonald was part of the Custom Made Renegades stable by 2005, and competitively challenged for titles such as the MPW Junior Heavyweight Championship, facing Bobby Sharp in a series of matches. He sustained multiple injuries during his wrestling tenure, which contributed to a gradual shift in his career focus toward music. His final professional wrestling match took place in November 2009 at an Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW) event. Simultaneously, MacDonald grappled with alcoholism throughout much of his life, undergoing rehabilitation in 2017 after what he described as a “bad breakdown.”

At the age of 18, MacDonald began rapping, but his music career gained significant traction later. His debut single, “Dear Rappers,” released in February 2018, brought him broader recognition. He further gained prominence with songs addressing controversial topics, such as “Straight White Male,” released in 2019, which garnered social media criticism. The same year, he released “Cloned Rappers,” a song centered on the Illuminati cloning theory. MacDonald maintained an active release schedule in 2020, putting out 20 singles, including tracks like “White Trash” and “Coronavirus,” the latter reflecting on the COVID-19 pandemic. His 2021 single, “Fake Woke,” marked a career milestone by debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 96. Later that year, he acquired an Eminem-produced instrumental, “Stan’s Revenge,” for $100,000, which he used for his song “Dear Slim,” paying homage to Eminem’s “Stan.” “Snowflakes” and “Brainwashed,” also released in 2021, continued his success on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching numbers 71 and 89, respectively.

MacDonald’s collaborative efforts have also seen chart success. In 2022, he partnered with Adam Calhoun to release the album “The Brave,” which became the best-selling album in the U.S. during its release week, selling 16,000 copies. This collaboration continued with “American Flags” in 2023, which charted on the Digital Songs chart in the US and the Canadian Hot 100. In September 2023, the duo released “The Brave II.” A notable collaboration in January 2024 with conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro resulted in the single “Facts,” which debuted at number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 42 on the Canadian Hot 100. In 2025, MacDonald released “Daddy’s Home,” featuring Roseanne Barr, referencing Trump’s second inauguration, and “Charlie,” a tribute song that rapidly achieved the number-one spot on YouTube’s trending music chart and topped Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart.
