Tommy Shaw

Tommy Shaw is an American musician and songwriter recognized for his extensive contributions to the rock bands Styx, Damn Yankees, and Shaw Blades. He is available for brand endorsements, campaign collaborations, and social media partnerships. After joining the legendary rock band Styx in December 1975, Tommy Shaw quickly established himself as a prolific songwriter and dynamic performer. His immediate impact was evident with contributions to the band’s 1976 album Crystal Ball, featuring his tracks ‘Crystal Ball,’ ‘Mademoiselle,’ and ‘Shooz.’ Shaw’s efforts were pivotal in Styx’s breakthrough success with The Grand Illusion (1977), an album that achieved platinum certification and included his hit ‘Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man).’ His rock-oriented compositions, ‘Renegade’ and ‘Blue Collar Man,’ from Styx’s eighth album, Pieces of Eight (1978), further solidified his role, becoming major hits and concert staples.

That same year, he collaborated on Don Felder’s album Road to Forever. Demonstrating his versatility, Shaw has performed with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and, in 2016, with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra for ‘Sing For the Day.’ His enduring contributions to music were formally recognized with his induction into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame on February 22, 2008. Most recently, Shaw provided lead vocals on the track ‘Uroboros’ for Alan Parsons’ album From the New World in 2022. He remains an active and influential figure in the music industry, consistently touring and creating, solidifying his legacy as a rock musician and songwriter.
