Torry Holt excelled as an NFL wide receiver before transitioning into broadcasting and business ventures. After an exceptional collegiate career that culminated in consensus All-American honors and being named Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 1998, Torry Holt went on to become the sixth overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft. During his senior year at North Carolina State University from 1995-1998, Holt set then-ACC records with 88 receptions for 1,604 yards and an NC State record of 16 touchdown receptions. His collegiate achievements were further recognized when NC State retired his number, 81, in 1999.

Demonstrating a continued commitment to developing young talent, Holt began coaching in 2015 as an assistant football and wide receivers coach at Heritage High School. His contributions to the sport and community were honored in 2018 with his induction into the Wake County Public School System Hall of Fame.
