Trevor Devall

Trevor Devall, born on November 10, 1972, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, embarked on his diverse career with a foundation in theatre and various dance forms. His early days also involved studies in drama at the University of Alberta, where he directed stage productions and student films. In 1998, Devall moved to Vancouver with aspirations of directing films. While working at a talent agency, he created a demo tape, which subsequently launched his career as a voice actor in the Vancouver voice-over industry, where he spent 15 years building his expertise and reputation.

Devall’s career progressed significantly, leading him to relocate to Los Angeles in 2013 to continue his work in the voice-over field. He has lent his voice to hundreds of animated productions, including television series, movies, feature films, and video games. His notable roles include Rocket Raccoon in “Guardians of the Galaxy” (2015-2019), Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious in various “Lego Star Wars” productions, and Dukey in “Johnny Test” (seasons 5-6). He has also played impactful roles in anime series such as Mu La Flaga in “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” (2002) and Aizawa in “Death Note” (2006). In 2012, Devall appeared on-screen as the villainous Sir Atticus Moon in the Nickelodeon feature “Big Time Movie.”

Beyond his acting roles, Devall also explored podcasting, producing “Voiceprint with Trevor Devall and Guests” from 2007 to 2013, where he interviewed fellow voice actors. More recently, in 2019, he launched the YouTube channel “Me, Myself and Die!,” focusing on solo tabletop role-playing games, which expanded to include a series reviewing TTRPG systems in “The Sage’s Library.” In October 2024, he successfully launched a Kickstarter campaign for his own tabletop role-playing game system, “The Broken Empires,” demonstrating his continued innovation and engagement within the entertainment and gaming communities.
