On stage, he played Wharton in “Another Country” at the Queen’s Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London, and in 1983, he appeared as Young Edmond Bertram in BBC 1’s ‘Mansfield Park’. His early career established a foundation in both serious drama and character comedy. A notable milestone occurred in 1990 when he won a First at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for his performance in ‘The Hypochondriac’. Lowe’s work has spanned across various media, demonstrating his adaptability and range as a performer and writer.

He appeared in three films directed by Kenneth Branagh: ‘Peter’s Friends’ (1992) as Paul, ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ (1993) as The Messenger, and ‘Frankenstein’ (1994) as a Ships Crew.
