As a founding member of the New Brunswick, New Jersey-based post-hardcore band Thursday, Tucker Rule launched his drumming career in 1997. The band quickly established a significant presence, releasing their debut album, ‘Waiting,’ in 1999 on Eyeball Records. Thursday then garnered widespread recognition with their critically acclaimed second album, ‘Full Collapse,’ released in 2001 through Victory Records, which successfully peaked at number 178 on the Billboard 200. This period was marked by successful national touring, including a prominent appearance on Warped Tour, culminating in a major label deal with Island Records in 2002.

A consistently endorsed artist, Rule maintains long-standing partnerships with Q Drum Co., Zildjian (for 15 years), Vater sticks (for 6 years), REMO, JH Audio, Reflexx pads, and DW hardware. After an announced indefinite hiatus in 2011, Thursday officially reunited in 2016, with Rule at the helm. In 2024, Rule continued his prolific career with Thursday, releasing their first new music in 13 years with the singles ‘Application for Release From the Dream’ and ‘White Bikes,’ further cementing his enduring legacy as a dynamic and influential drummer.
