Vaea Verbeeck is a mountain biker who has been excelling at the sport since she was a teenager. Verbeeck has risen to become prominent in the categories of top downhill and dual-slalom in North America, and is largely considered one of the most impressive women jumpers ever seen. Verbeeck has demonstrated her skill by jumping over the 40-foot double jumps in the Red Bull Best Whip contest at the Fox U.S Open and has even competed in the Red Bull Formation.
Verbeeck has won awards such as Queen of Crankworx in 2019, dual-slalom overall world champion and three-time national champion in 2014, 2018 and 2019 respectively. The sportswoman is known for her frank and down to earth attitude, and as well as tackling the mountain biking tracks is often seen helping her fans or supporting climate change activism. Verbeeck has also created a documentary, which was a collaboration with SHIMANO, around her experience with mountain biking, discussing her years of hardwork and dedication.
Verbeeck also loves travel, as well as her sport, regularly jet setting across the globe with a recent trip being a roadtrip across New Zealand with her partner. Verbeeck supports Rocky Mountain Bikes, who endeavour to allow bikers to channel their care-free childhood days, an ethos which is fitting to how Verbeeck looks at her career and biking routine. Recently, Verbeeck has been safely isolating in quarantine and training hard for her next biking competition.
