Hannah Berney, known professionally as Violet Skies, is a talented singer-songwriter hailing from Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Wales. In 2014, Violet Skies made significant strides in her career by releasing her debut solo EP, “Dragons,” and performing at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival on the BBC Introducing Stage. Her live performances continued to impress as she headlined a show in London and opened for the American duo A Great Big World at Bush Hall. The following year, she released the evocative single “Liar,” further establishing her presence in the music scene.

Violet’s collaborative spirit shines through her songwriting credits, notably co-writing the hit song “God Is a Dancer” for British singer Mabel and Dutch DJ Tiësto, which achieved remarkable success by spending eight weeks in the UK Top 40 and peaking at number 15. In 2019, she released the EP “I’ll Buy a House,” followed by an acoustic version, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to her craft.

In April 2020, she unveiled the EP “Lonely,” featuring five captivating tracks that resonate with listeners.
