One of the hottest rappers to emerge from Chicago in recent years, Warhol.SS burst into the mainstream after taking over the underground scene. After making waves with Where’s Warhol in 2017 he followed up with 2018’s Chest Pains – which included the bangers ‘With Ease’, ‘War Ready (feat. UnoTheActivist)’ and ‘Switch Locations’, and then collaborated with the likes of Shoreline Mafia, JackBoy, Famous Dex , Lil Tecca and Lil Mosey on numerous singles and several Eps. In 2022 the Chi-Town star dropped the highly-anticipated Where’s Warhol 2, bringing his sound to another level with a masterful combination of trap-influenced beats and drill and showcasing his elite rapping abilities.
Born in Chicago, Warhol.SS moved around a lot when he was a child and also spent time living in Atlanta and Minneapolis. His childhood went on to shape his personal style of music and he took influence from Chicago and Atlanta as well as the music he listened to growing up, which ranged from MF Doom and Jaz-Z to Erykah Badu. When he was 16 he began to take rapping seriously and later chose the stage name Warhol.SS inspired by the legendary artist Andy Warhol. In 2016 his track ‘Speed Racer’ caused a buzz helped by production from Brent Rambo and the accompanying music video by Cole Bennet. At the same time there was a growth in popularity of Chicago rappers and Warhol was propelled out of the underground and into the mainstream.
In the five years since Where’s Warhol the rapper has had time to master his craft and reflect by remaining private behind the scenes, and has tapped back into the true Warhol on his latest offering.
