Yadier Molina

Yadier Molina spent his entire 19-year MLB career with the St. Louis Cardinals, establishing himself as one of baseball’s most decorated catchers. Drafted by the Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2000 MLB draft with a $325,000 signing bonus, he made his professional debut with the Johnson City Cardinals in 2001. Molina’s MLB debut followed on June 3, 2004, and he played a pivotal role in the Cardinals’ 2006 World Series championship.

In his final MLB season in 2022, he set an MLB record for wins (203) and starts (325) as a battery with Adam Wainwright, also pitching his first career MLB game before retiring. Internationally, Molina demonstrated leadership, participating in four World Baseball Classics for Puerto Rico, securing two silver medals. Transitioning into management, he has led Puerto Rico’s U-23 baseball team and managed both the Navegantes del Magallanes (Venezuelan Professional Baseball League) and Criollos de Caguas. He currently serves as a Special Assistant to the President of Baseball Operations for the St.

Louis Cardinals.
