Zach Galligan

Zach Galligan is an American actor known for his leading roles in classic horror-comedy films and his continued work across various media. After captivating audiences in the iconic 1984 film Gremlins as Billy Peltzer, Zach Galligan immediately established his presence in popular culture and launched a prolific career across film, television, and stage. Prior to his breakout role, Galligan filmed Nothing Lasts Forever, demonstrating his early foray into cinema. In 1985, he further expanded his reach, co-starring with Molly Ringwald in the television movie Surviving: A Family in Crisis and making his Broadway debut in Neil Simon’s acclaimed play Biloxi Blues.

Throughout this period, he also made numerous guest appearances on television episodics and featured in various independent films. In recent years, Galligan has continued to honor his legacy by actively engaging with his most recognizable character, Billy Peltzer, through modern media. In early 2021, he garnered significant attention for his appearance in a high-profile Mountain Dew commercial, which featured a nostalgic reunion with the fan-favorite character Gizmo from Gremlins, captivating a new generation of viewers while delighting long-time fans. Further solidifying his connection to the franchise, Galligan joined the cast of the animated series Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai in 2022, lending his distinct voice to Henchman #2, extending the beloved universe into new storytelling formats.
