2018 New Japan Cup holder, former PWG World Champion and Battle of Los Angeles tournament winner Zack Sabre Jr. is one of the fiercest wrestlers working today. Voted Best Technical Wrestler by Wrestling Observer Newsletter readers four years in a row from 2014 to 2017, Sabre Jr. is one of the toughest wrestlers of his division, known for his vice-like hold and complex pinning combinations.
Training with NWA-UK Hammerlock from the age of 14, SabreJr. has benefitted from the tuition of wrestling coaches Jon Ryan and AndreBaker. Defeating Falcon in the 2005 NWA-UK Hammerlock event, Sabre Jr. won theNWA United Kingdom Junior Heavyweight Championship, and has successfullydefended the title ever since. Sabre is also known as a regular tag teamchampion, forming Leaders of the New School with wrestler Marty Scrull andbecoming two-time RPW Undisputed British Tag Team Champions.
Sabre Jr. can also be seen wrestling for federations such asRing Of Honor (ROH), Revolution Pro Wrestling (RPW), and Progress Wrestling. Hehas received additional training from iconic Japanese wrestler Yoshinari Ogawaduring his time wrestling for Pro Wrestling NOAH. A keen champion of veganismand animal rights, he endorsed Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn in the UK’s2017 general election.
