Zelfa Barrett, known as ‘Brown Flash’, was born in Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom, on July 9, 1993. He embarked on his professional boxing career on October 25, 2014, making his debut at Middleton Arena in Middleton, Greater Manchester. His initial fight resulted in a four-round points decision victory over Kristian Laight, marking the beginning of a successful trajectory in the sport. Over the subsequent years, Barrett built a notable record, securing 18 consecutive wins, 11 of which were by stoppage, establishing himself as a formidable presence in the super-featherweight division.
His career saw significant achievements, including capturing the vacant English super-featherweight title on October 21, 2017, by defeating Chris Conwell with a fourth-round technical knockout at the First Direct Arena in Leeds. Although he experienced a setback on February 24, 2018, losing to Ronnie Clark for the vacant IBF European super-featherweight title by majority decision, Barrett continued to advance.
