Multi-talented star Zoë Badwi is an actress, model, singer and songwriter from Australia. Her debut track ‘Release Me’ topped the ARIA Clubs Chart in 2008 and picked up two award nominations at the 2009 ARIA Music Awards for Best Dance Release. Badwi played to huge crowds when she supported pop superstars Little Mix on their Australia and New Zealand tours in 2017. As an actress she has appeared in The Hollowmen, Halifax f.p. and Neighbours.
Born in Germany, Badwi moved to Melbourne, Australia when she was a small child. She began her glittering career as a model and starred in a number of television adverts including commercials for Mars Bars and Telstra. Her acting debut came in the Australian drama Raw FM, and she spent eight months with the show.
Badwi’s music career kicked off when she became a member of Sirens – an Australian girl group – in 2001.The band had minor success with tracks ‘I’m So Excited’ and ‘Like Fire, Like Rain’, but it wasn’t long before Badwi left to pursue her solo music career. After being discovered by TV Rock’s Grant Smillie, Badwi was signed up by Neon Records and released her debut single ‘Release Me’. She went on to win Breakthrough Artist of 2010 at the IT List awards, and also scored more hit singles with the likes of ‘Freefallin’, which was later certified platinum and won Dance Work of the Year at the APRA Awards.
With a performance on the track ‘Crush’ with Greg Gould in 2020, her career continues to go from strength to strength.
