jozif's New Remix Premiered by The Ransome Note | News | MN2S

London-based DJ jozif’s latest track, ‘Everything Is Ok (jozif’s Love International Rerubb)’ has been premiered by The Ransom Note.

The song is a remix of Al Green’s track ‘Everything’s OK’ – the title track of his 2005 comeback album. jozif’s ‘rerubb’ plays with filters and synthesizers to create a throbbing, swelled-up version of the track that is both more urgent and chilled-out than the original. Green’s vocals are dropped in and out as samples for a dancefloor-friendly eight minutes.

jozif released the remix to celebrate his upcoming appearance at Love International Festival in Croatia at the end of June. Also appearing at Love International are Axel Boman, Ben UFO, Craig Richards, Eats Everything, Horse Meat Disco, Jackmaster, Joy Orbison, Motor City Drum Ensemble, and Roman Flugel, among others.

jozif’s debut album is lined up for release later this year, and he has been busy running his Fist & Finger record label with fabric resident Craig Richards. jozif has displayed his lush, soulful approach to crafting house soundscapes on releases for Culprit, Bedrock, Suol and Compost. He has also released music under the name ‘Kerb Staller’ with Matt Tolfrey.
