The Chicago house don is joining a line-up that includes Lee Scratch Perry, Nightmares on Wax and Fabio & Grooverider.
Moovin Festival is bringing godfather of house Marshall Jefferson to play on Sunday 25th August. Billed as “a festival like no other”, the weekend will feature live music, performers, fire shows, yoga, gong baths, cabaret, comedy, culinary delights with an extra dose of “magic, mischief and festival surprises.” Moovin Festival is taking place on the bank holiday weekend of 23rd-25th August at Whitebottom Farm in Stockport.
One of the most influential figures in the development of house music, Marshall Jefferson is a legend of the genre. Credited with transforming the sound throughout a crucial period in it’s history, he released tracks like “Move Your Body” and “Ride the Rhythm” that set the template for generations of later artists and pushed the Chicago house scene forward.
