A festival-ready tribute to Avicii that turns melody into memory.
Adrian Taylor, the recording name of Romanian-born DJ and producer Adrian Niculescu, is a self-taught, Dubai-based creative operator working across music, tech and venture capital. He describes his sound as a blend of the cultures he moves through, spanning EDM, hip-hop, R&B, pop and nu-disco, with music framed as a force for good and a route to genuine human connection. He is the hands-on creative force behind his own Adrian Taylor releases, the London-based studio project The GlobTrotters, and DJ Agape Records, the independent Los Angeles label he founded. Alongside him on “The Tim In Me” is Fizzelle, a Romanian-born singer in her early twenties and a student at the National University of Music in Bucharest, who has been singing since childhood and counts Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson among her biggest influences. Together they’ve built a melodic tribute to Avicii, released in two forms so DJs and playlisters can choose the version with the strongest pull on a festival floor, and the pair are now working with MN2S Label Services.
The project exists as The Tim In Me: Adrian Taylor + Fizzelle and as The Tim In Me: By Fizzelle, reflecting a deliberate choice to shape the tribute around whichever version delivers the strongest emotional impact in a festival setting. That gives the release a clear angle: not simply a new single, but a live tested emotional centrepiece built for audience connection. It arrives through DJ Agape Records, an independent label and artist development platform founded by Adrian Niculescu, built around originality, artist empowerment and music that connects, inspires and elevates. Born in Los Angeles and shaped around the idea of agape, the highest form of love, as its guiding philosophy, DJ Agape Records’ catalogue centres on Adrian Taylor and The GlobTrotters alongside a growing roster of newer artists, spanning genre defying releases across EDM, pop, hip-hop, R&B, drum and bass and related electronic styles. Set against that backdrop, “The Tim In Me” sits inside a wider label vision built on emotionally resonant, genre fluid music with a positive message and strong audience connection.
How did you get into music? What is your musical background?
Fizzelle has been singing since kindergarten and is currently a student at the National University of Music in Bucharest, drawing inspiration from artists like Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson as she polishes her own style and builds her catalogue alongside DJ Agape Records. Adrian Taylor is self-taught, with music running in his family, and has built his career across music, technology and venture capital from his base in Dubai.
Tell us about your first release and what was special about that one.
Adrian started producing music in 2013, initially without any thought of building his own catalogue, focusing instead on production work for other artists. That changed in December 2023 with the release of “Take Me To The Dance” under Adrian Taylor and DJ Agape Records, the release that effectively started his own catalogue. He describes it as a special moment, realising how much feeling, thought and idea he could share through music as a medium.
Tell us about the latest project you worked on.
“The Tim In Me” grew out of an unexpected source of inspiration. Adrian describes a dream in which he found himself in the studio with Tim Bergling, brainstorming new music. Waking up, he found himself reflecting on how deeply dance music producers, including himself and Fizzelle, carry Avicii’s influence forward, and wrote “The Tim In Me” the following day as a way of putting that feeling into music. The release exists as both a full Adrian Taylor + Fizzelle EP and a separate Fizzelle led version, letting the tribute take the shape that lands hardest with a live festival crowd.
Could you describe your musical style and creative vision?

Fizzelle describes her sound as fluid, like water, cruising around dance music and drawing inspiration from everything around her, with one simple goal: to create music that makes people feel good. Adrian’s creative vision centres on originality and connection, pairing original releases with in-house remixes across five genres (EDM, hip-hop, R&B, pop and nu-disco), and inviting listeners, DJs and radio to find their own favourite version of a track.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of entering the music industry?
Adrian’s advice is to think long-term. With few exceptions, he notes, every overnight success is the result of a process that takes ten years or more, and while the barrier to entry is lower than ever, competition has never been fiercer. He points to tracks from the eighties and nineties, and much of Avicii’s own catalogue, that still sound fresh today, and recommends focusing on music built to last rather than chasing trends that can feel dated within weeks. The goal, he says, is to create music that takes on a life of its own and becomes part of global culture.
What are your plans for the rest of the year and beyond?
There’s plenty in the pipeline: several completed tracks still awaiting release, more music still to be written, club and festival appearances around the world, and continued work building out DJ Agape Records.
What have you enjoyed about working with MN2S Label Services?
Adrian describes the relationship as progressing well, with clear added value on both sides and shared goals the two are working to turn into reality.
