The immensely talented rapper-singer has announced his next project and shared a video for his latest single.
Rod Wave has revealed the release date of his second album. Pray 4 Love is out on April 3rd, released via Alamo/Geffen Records. Alongside the announcement, he’s shared the album’s title track and an accompanying music video. Check out the video below.
Hailing from Florida, Rod Wave caught the attention of the music world following the release of his 2019 debut LP, Ghetto Gospel. Lauded by publications such as Pitchfork and Rolling Stone for his uniquely emotive delivery, he’s fused hip-hop, trap and R&B to create music that sits in a class of it’s own, defying categorisation. He’s worked closely alongside one of his primary influences, Kevin Gates, while drawing comparisons to YoungBoy Never Broke Again, JayDaYoungan and members of the burgeoning “emo rap” scene that have opened up hip-hop to a more emotional perspective in recent years.
